On September 27, 2025, the Agatsu Ryu school celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special gathering in Přerov. What began as a small initiative back in 2000 has grown into a vibrant community where martial arts practice is inseparable from values of discipline, respect, and friendship.
The program of the day was rich and varied: training sessions with masters from Agatsu Ryu, demonstrations of traditional weapons, and moments of reflection on how the school has evolved since its founding. Participants ranged from long-standing students who have walked the path of Agatsu Ryu for many years, to newcomers experiencing its philosophy for the very first time. The atmosphere skillfully blended serious martial focus with heartfelt camaraderie, highlighting how growth comes not only through technique, but also through sharing the journey together.
During the celebrations, founder René Garcia emphasized the journey Agatsu Ryu has taken: the challenges of building and cultivating a school, the privilege of training directly with Japanese teachers, and above all, the responsibility of transmitting authentic knowledge to future generations. His words underlined a timeless truth: martial arts are more than physical skill—they are a way to shape character and spirit.
The anniversary closed in a spirit of gratitude. Guests valued the opportunity to reconnect, exchange inspiration, and reaffirm their dedication to lifelong practice. The day was more than just a tribute to the past; it was also a promise that Agatsu Ryu will continue to grow, inspiring practitioners to deepen their skills and embody its philosophy in everyday life.
